Job description

Job Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Napa, CA (100% Onsite from day 1)
Job Type: Long Term Contract

  • Shift: Rotational – Weekly (including USA Night Shifts)
  • Preference: Local candidates only
  • Final Round will be F2F/In-Person

Summary: We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join our onsite team in Napa, CA. This role is critical to the daily operations of our data center facility and requires flexibility to work rotational shifts, including night shifts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware installation, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, networking equipment, and storage devices.
  • Perform routine system health checks, backups, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor environmental controls such as power, cooling, and physical security.
  • Respond to service tickets and incident alerts promptly to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, system admins, and support teams for escalations and planned upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of hardware inventory, changes, and incidents.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with established procedures and data center standards.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a data center or server environment.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, server hardware, and cabling.
  • Ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work flexible shifts.
  • Certifications like CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or similar are a plus.
