This role involves supporting the supervisor in staff training, competency assessments, and evaluations. The primary focus is on delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring safety. Responsibilities include performing and assisting with imaging and interventional procedures while adhering to the standards expected of a registered technologist.
Qualifications
Patient Age Range: All Age Groups
Educational Requirements: Completion of vocational training. Must be a graduate from a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the ARRT.
Essential Skills
- Ability to handle stress and traumatic situations with composure.
- Understanding of imaging and interventional procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with imaging devices and other patient care equipment.
- Proficient in computer technology, electronic imaging, and capable of troubleshooting issues.
Licensure and Certifications
- Current Florida State License
- Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) must be obtained within one year of hire or transfer into this position.
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in Special Procedures/Interventional procedures, or
- 2 years of experience in General Radiology.
Preferred Experience
- Specialized training in interventional radiology.
- Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
