Job Description

Assists supervisor with staff education, competency and evaluations. Strives to provide optimal patient care and safety. Performs and assists with interventional and imaging procedures. Upholds the Standard of Practice of a registered technologist.

Qualifications

Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups.

Required Education: Vocational Training. Graduate from School of Radiologic Technology recognized by the ARRT.

Necessary Skills:

  • Approach and manage stress/traumatic situations in a calm manner.
  • Knowledge of Imaging and Interventional procedures and practices.
  • Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment.
  • Knowledge of computer technology, electronic imaging, and ability to troubleshoot problems.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

Current Florida State License Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification Current BLS from the American Heart Association Within one (1) year of hire or transfer into the position, ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) is required

Required Experience: 1-2 years Special Procedures/Interventional procedures experience -OR- 2 years General Radiology experience

Preferred Experience: Specialized training in interventional radiology. Experience with PAC's.
