IT Assistant – Entry-Level IT Opportunity
VIP Staffing is hiring an IT Assistant I for a growing company in Roanoke, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with entry-level IT experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building their career in information technology.
The IT Assistant will support the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including computer setup, software installation, IT asset tracking, inventory management, documentation, and general technical support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist IT Technicians with computer setup and software installation.
  • Generate and maintain IT asset tags and equipment documentation.
  • Track computers, equipment, and other IT assets.
  • Perform equipment cycle counts and update inventory records.
  • Monitor IT supplies and inventory levels.
  • Track IT supply orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare weekly IT order status and inventory reports.
  • Maintain electronic and physical IT files and documentation.
  • Operate and assist with office equipment, including printers and copy machines.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support within the IT department.
  • Greet and assist employees visiting the IT department.
  • Maintain accurate records in a quality-controlled environment.
  • Perform additional IT support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of business school, technical training, or related IT experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, hardware, software installation, and office equipment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable working with inventory and asset-tracking processes.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
