About This Role

Transform the daily experience of children as an Infant Room Teacher Assistant! Working collaboratively with the teaching team, you will help provide continuity of care for infants while fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Through hands-on activities, responsive caregiving, and positive interactions, you will support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This role includes assisting with daily routines, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, building strong relationships with families, and ensuring that every infant is progressing toward age-appropriate developmental milestones. Your care and dedication will help create a foundation for lifelong learning and success.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  1. Support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and supervision for infants.
  2. Assist with feeding, diapering, nap routines, and daily classroom activities.
  3. Create a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment.
  4. Observe and support children's developmental progress and milestone achievement.
  5. exploration, sensory experiences, and early learning through play.
  6. Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
  7. Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required.

  1. Previous experience in school-age care is preferred
  2. Must meet all state licensing requirements.
  3. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
  7. Complete 20 hours of professional development annually.
