We are looking for you to join our team as Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst based out of Linthicum, MD or Irving, TX.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems GSC Systems & Transportation team is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst or Principal Computer Systems Analyst within the SAP environment. This includes all MS locations utilizing SAP functionality. This position has a lead role in the analysis, training and stabilization as the ERP solution is enhanced for the corporation, as well as with the prioritization and testing of functionality enhancements. This position coordinates with corporate and sector teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition and system techniques and controls. This position encompasses responsibilities aligned with supplier quality.

What you will get to do

  • Manage system project blueprinting, schedule, testing, change management, and post go live support.
  • Develop and review system specifications that address business requirements and process improvements which meet the company's system architecture standards. Gather requirements from end users, compliance, and cross functional or sector/enterprise partners.
  • Validate and document system functional specifications. Troubleshoot, test and coordinate with developers.
  • Change management activities to include assessment, communication plan, work instructions, and training.
  • Monitor and respond to user support, business enhancement requests, and SAP system security role review
  • Assist with conversions including data mapping, validation and clean-up
  • Work with representatives from other sectors, from corporate groups, and from other sector functions to contribute to the redesign of SAP business processes, standardizing solutions as much as possible.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours, including weekends, when necessary

Key Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prompt, clear and accurate in communicating with team members and end users about system functionality, enhancements, testing, training, conversions, & support. Conducting briefings and technical meetings for top management.
  • Analyze specifications, process flow, & system dependencies. Develop test plans and troubleshoot system functionality to ensure business process requirements are met
  • Ability to influence and guide cross-functional team members to reach their full potential while achieving organizational goals
  • Determine strategies to move projects forward, set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate the system process and results
  • Setting realistic expectations and prioritizing varying levels of importance of work
  • Knowledge of supplier quality techniques, practices or theories gained through broad experience, training, and education.
  • Decision making requires evaluation of many alternatives. These decisions may be made under conditions of uncertainty or where little precedent exists. Typically integrates input from multiple sources and which may affect an entire sector.

Basic Qualifications for the T4 Sr Principal Computer Systems Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in supply chain/business management/Engineering or master's degree and 6 years of experience
  • SAP Business System experience especially with Quality Management requirements
  • Supplier quality experience
  • Ability to travel domestically 10%
  • U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for the Sr Principal Computer Systems Analyst:

  • Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Experience with supplier performance management and receiving inspection processes to assess the impact of proposed changes and to propose process improvements
  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry or working on Defense Acquisition programs
  • 1+ year of experience leading and developing cross functional teams
Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
