Job Summary:
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Network Administrator to join their team. The role involves the administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity protection of Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network client and server systems, supporting enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications.
Responsibilities:
• This position is responsible for performing Microsoft Windows server administration, manage GPOs, create/modify DHCP reservations, patching and STIG’ing, as well as, authoring standard operating procedures, and performing Tier 2 technical support.
• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
• Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
• Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
• Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
• Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Candidate must have a Security+ or equivalent certification.
• Candidate must have a Secret Security Clearance.
• Candidate must have experience with Microsoft WSUS or SCCM.
• Candidate must have experience with Windows Servers 2016/2019 and Active Directory.
• Candidate must have Windows desktop operating systems (WIN10 SHB)
• Candidate must have experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
• Candidate must have experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations.
• Candidate must have experience with VMware.
• Candidate must have familiarity with VDI technologies and protocols.
• Candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot technical issues within multiple systems.
• Candidate must have a strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities.
• Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
• Server Focused experience highly desired.
• Linux+ or Microsoft certification preferred.
• Experience installing release upgrades highly preferred.
• RedHat desktop operating systems (RHEL 7/8) experience highly desired
