Job Description

Senior Systems Engineer will oversee the successful installation, configuration and delivery of Open iT products, engineering complex projects, and maintaining and managing assigned projects. He or she will assist the Delivery Manager in fulfilling the goals and needs of the team, and provide guidance to other engineers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years experience in software development, technical support and presales, or software installation and migration
  • Working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting in Windows, UNIX/Linux based environments
  • Solid scripting skills (i.e. shell scripts, batch/PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python), and encryption.
  • Working experience with logging, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Exposure to automated or unattended installation.
  • Good project management skills
  • Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience in at least two of the following license managers: FlexNet, IBM, LUM, NetHASP, DSLS (Dassault), Sentinel RMS
  • Solid cloud computing experience, preferably in Azure or AWS
  • Good documentation skills
  • MCSA/LPIC/RHCSA certification or equivalent
