Job description

We are seeking an experienced Security Systems Design resource to fill a Senior Security Systems Design Manager position to on our client's Security Systems business Unit. As part of this Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
A senior security systems design manager is responsible for the full lifecycle of a security design, from RFP development to system commissioning. This is an embedded role with a quickly growing global enterprise company.
This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week onsite.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on security engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs.
  • Define the design project scope of work based on the customers' needs.
  • Providing high-quality Issue for Construction (IFC) designs.
  • Review Request for Proposals (RFP) documentation, Statement of Work, and Client Specifications provided for new project bids.
  • Develop a security construction Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Understand security construction requirements with respect to electrical, pathway, and telecommunications.
  • Develop test/commissioning plans to achieve acceptance of the deployed system.
  • Developing and improving design standards.
  • Collaborate with installation, deployment, and project management teams to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance on solution deployments and assist in resolving issues at a high level.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams on new technology developments or changes in customers' environments that may require new solutions.
  • Working knowledge and/or certification with electronic security systems and applications like Software House CCure, Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, Avigilon, HID, Axis, and/or others. Candidates should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of how these systems operate and be familiar with flaws and improvements.
  • Help identify changes in customer environments that may require new solutions and present them to the senior engineering management to be developed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with 5+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. with the provision of SE services for physical security system and IT solutions.
