Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional position that provides Health Education to Marion County Health Department clients and residents of Marion County. This position requires the ability to take initiative, work independently and think creatively. Strong communication skills written and verbal ability to multitask, prioritize and attention to detail required. Individual 1 will be expected to work with community and corporate partners in a professional, diplomatic, sensitive and confidential1 manner. This position requires the ability to work with youth, parents, and our aging population discussing healthy decisions making in various indoor and outdoor locations in our community. The individual in this position will be supervised by the Health Education Program Manager-SES and a valid driver's license is required for this position.

The individual will support lead Health Education Consultants in advancing healthy decision making across key focus areas, including Healthy Communities, Injury Prevention, Employee Wellness, Chronic Disease prevention, and Healthy Aging. Responsibilities include assisting with the development and utilization of educational materials relevant to health education and facilitating their distribution through classes, community events promotional campaigns and presentation.

The individual will assist with additional programs, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Health Education Program Manager, including by not limited to car seat installation services, to support department 11 goals and initiatives.

The individual will be responsible for assisting in ordering and submitting purchase orders for all Health Education programs as needed.

The individual will assist as a community liaison by attending community meetings, promoting Department of Health messaging.

Other duties as assigned.
