Job Description

Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration and successful delivery of Open iT products. He or she will collaborate with presales team to ensure that all information is complete and documented, the products are tested in a similar environment of the client, and the product deployment is successful and on time.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • One year of work experience in any of the following; software development, ITS, technical support, and quality assurance.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows, UNIX/Linux based environments.
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, RHEV).
  • Experience with logging, monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Exposure to automated or unattended installation.
  • Knowledge in scripting skills (i.e. shell scripts, batch/PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python)
  • Good documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience in at least two of the following license managers: FlexNet, IBM, LUM, NetHASP, DSLS (Dassault), Sentinel RMS
  • Effective English communications and presentations skills
  • Knowledge in multiple programming languages (i.e. C/C++, C#)
  • Knowledge in cloud computing (preferably in AWS)
  • Has a MCP/LPIC certification or equivalent.
