SR. IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR, IT APPLICATIONS
As a Senior IT Systems Administrator, you will serve as a key technical leader and Subject Matter Expert for our collaborative platforms-especially the full Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and more)-while architecting and maintaining critical integrations that connect SaaS tools, CRM, ERP, billing systems, and internal applications.
You will design, build, and support RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and webhooks with a strong focus on security, reliability, data transformation, and real-time synchronization. You'll identify automation opportunities, implement monitoring and alerting, create clear documentation, and partner directly with stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve efficiency across the organization. You'll also lead upgrades of Atlassian applications in large, clustered Linux environments, manage complex workflows and schemes, and help mentor others while working in a fast-paced, high-impact setting.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who combines deep technical expertise in integrations and Atlassian administration with strong customer-facing and problem-solving skills. If you want to shape the systems that enable ambitious teams to move faster and more reliably, we want you to apply!
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful delivery of the project(s)
  • Create and maintain detailed technical and user-facing documentation for the internal team and end users
  • Understand how to integrate other applications integrate with each other.
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks to connect SaaS platforms and internal systems
  • Integrate business applications (CRM, ERP, billing, etc.) with a focus on data mapping, transformation, and real-time synchronization
  • Identify integration opportunities that improve efficiency, automate processes, and reduce manual work through deep understanding of operational workflows
  • Apply API & security best practices including authentication (OAuth, API keys), error handling, monitoring, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable integrations
  • Integrate alerting and monitoring to ensure the application and the services are performant and reliable
  • Support the Atlassian application stack which includes: Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence including creation and management of custom complex projects, workflows, schemes, custom fields, and security schemes
  • Serve as one of the SMEs of Atlassian stack which comprises of: Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and more
  • Support and resolve issues with collaborative applications such as Jira/Confluence
  • Develop, test, and deploy upgrades for collaborative applications such as Jira/Confluence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline and 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing applications in large enterprise environments; OR 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing applications in large enterprise environments in lieu of a degree
  • Experience designing and implementing API integrations (REST, GraphQL, webhooks)
  • Experience with scripting (such as Groovy, Python, or Java)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong experience with scripting (Groovy, Python, or Java) and SQL (especially with ScriptRunner)
  • Strong experience upgrading Atlassian applications such as Jira/Confluence in a large, clustered Linux production environment
  • Hands-on experience integrating Atlassian tools with other internal systems, CRM, ERP, or billing platforms
  • Experience with migrating data between other application platforms
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment with strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with various business groups (software development teams and other business units)
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and mentoring or training other team members
