Job description

Receives, inspects, counts, signs, stores and issues incoming and/or outgoing materials, supplies, linen and equipment.  Takes cycle counts, inventories and assists in compiling stock reports.  Keys all stock issues into computer system.  Files daily flow of documents for Stores.  Provides transportation for supplies, lab specimens and materials to and from various facilities in the area.


Minimum Education: 

  • Duties require knowledge of routine Hospital function, with some basic math and communication skills.
  • Duties involve clerical skills equivalent to a high school education.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Minimum Work Experience: 

  • Over six (6) months’ work experience preferred.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Familiarity with receiving, supply and distribution procedures.

Required Licenses/Certifications: 

  • Must be a licensed driver in this state.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and unrestricted Driving record, to be checked annually.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 

  • Must be able to communicate information effectively to others orally and in writing.
  • Good organizational skills.
