Implementation Engineer

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Department: Information Technology
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Environment: Multiple Facilities / Office/Onsite in Gillette, WY

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to deploy, configure, and support enterprise software solutions while maintaining the underlying IT infrastructure that enables successful client operations. This role combines software implementation, network administration, systems support, and technical consulting to ensure seamless deployments and exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is highly technical, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple implementation projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze client business and technical requirements to develop implementation strategies.
  • Configure, customize, and deploy software solutions based on customer needs.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and associated hardware.
  • Customize applications using configuration settings, APIs, scripts, or code to meet client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain implementation plans, project timelines, technical documentation, and deployment records.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Development, Product, and Support teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide technical training and ongoing support to clients and internal end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software, networking, and system-related issues.
  • Perform system testing, validation, and quality assurance before production deployment.
  • Manage multiple implementation projects while meeting project milestones and deadlines.
  • Monitor software licensing and subscription services to ensure systems remain current, compliant, and cost effective.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and implementation best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software implementation, systems engineering, network administration, or a related technical role.
  • Experience deploying enterprise software solutions in client-facing environments is preferred.
  • Experience configuring and supporting network infrastructure is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or Azure certifications
  • ITIL, PMP, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise software applications.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Experience with SQL and relational database management systems.
  • Familiarity with APIs, scripting, or software customization.
  • Understanding of software testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable to changing technologies, priorities, and business needs.
