Position Specific Summary
The student will provide support to the lighting department at the Lisner and JMA auditorium. Student should be knowledgeable in ETC software and theatrical lighting terminology. The student will provide advanced technical and/or computer support assistance. Tasks include: programming an ETC console, building lighting looks for clients; moving stage platforms, handling musical instruments, orchestra chairs, and music stands; interacting with clients to help them achieve their vision. Operating audio-visual elements for rehearsals and shows
Student will also be working with sets and responsible for assembling various stage sets using hand tools such as tape measures, crescent wrenches,and hand drills.
Standard Position Description
  • The student will provide advanced technical and/or computer support assistance.
  • Tasks may include: maintaining and operating technical systems, hardware, and network configuration, planning and coordinating projects and workshops for the department, , designing and maintaining AI-powered tools and agents, building and managing websites, assisting with prioritization and completion of daily operations, participating in the hiring, training, and supervision of other student employees.
  • Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
