Network and Computer System Administrator
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a Network and Computer System Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Patuxent River, MD 20670.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, and maintain virtualized server infrastructure, including VMware vSphere (vCenter and ESXi), VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and SDDC Manager, across multi-site environments.
  • Administer VMware VDI (Horizon), including provisioning, cloning, and maintaining virtual desktops and supporting servers.
  • Create, configure, and support VMware products and services; manage user profiles and access controls for VMware infrastructure and devices.
  • Perform Active Directory and SCCM administration, including Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and management via PowerShell.
  • Develop and execute scripts in PowerShell (including VMware PowerCLI) and Linux to automate system administration, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor system, network, and server resources to verify integrity, availability, and performance; review system and application logs and confirm completion of scheduled jobs, including backups.
  • Analyze resource consumption and control user access across network and server environments.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain software and associated licenses.
  • Perform Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration, including configuring and running vulnerability scans.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to harden systems in accordance with DoD security requirements.
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including documentation and compliance tasks required for authorization and accreditation.
  • Perform DevSecOps duties, integrating security practices into development and operational workflows.
  • Assist in network emulation/virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering is preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience performing work related to the roles/responsibilities listed above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • One of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements.
  • Active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to become SCI eligible.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AWS GovCloud IL2, AWS GovCloud IL4, AWS GovCloud IL5, or AWS GovCloud IL6 environments or Microsoft Azure.
COMPENSATION amp; BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
  • The annual compensation range is $110,000 to $160,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
  • Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
  • Full-time benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), paid time off, paid holidays, life insurance with accidental death and dismemberment, short-term disability insurance, long-term disability, 401(k) with matching.
