Director, Software Engineering

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in leading our talented team of engineers to develop and deliver industryโ€‘leading platform capabilities. This role will lead our Voice Of Client (VoC) and Sustaining Engineering (SE) teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Define technical roadmap for our SaaS platform, aligning it with evolving business goals, industry trends, and technical best practices. Collaborate with the technology leaders across other Scrum and TechOps teams to ensure alignment on architectural vision and engineering principles.
  • Voice of Client (VoC) Engineering Team: Lead engineering delivery for the Voice of Client (VoC) team (3 engineers โ€“ Onsite/Offshore) by partnering closely with Product and Client Operations to translate client feedback into prioritized technical enhancements and platform improvements.
  • Sustaining Engineering Leadership: Oversee the Sustaining Engineering (3 Onsite Engineers) function responsible for platform stability, defect resolution, and incremental product improvements to ensure reliability, client satisfaction, and operational continuity.
  • Crossโ€‘Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Product Management, Client Operations, and other internal teams to ensure seamless development and delivery of solutions that meet client needs and align with company priorities.
  • Technology Leadership Collaboration: Serve as an active member of the broader Technology Leadership Team, working closely with Architecture, DevOps/TechOps, Security, and Data teams to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and alignment across the technology organization.
  • TechOps Enablement: Collaborate with TechOps (DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform teams) to ensure engineering teams are enabled with the right tooling, environments, deployment processes, and operational practices to deliver and support our SaaS platform effectively.
  • Experience: Best practices in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and technology stack โ€“ Azure Cloud, C#, Function Apps/Microservices, Service Bus, API Management, and cloudโ€‘native architecture.
  • Project Management: Oversee the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for key initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, predictable execution, and adherence to highโ€‘quality engineering standards.
  • Recruitment & Mentorship: Actively participate in recruiting top engineering talent and contribute to the professional development, mentorship, and career growth of the engineering team.
  • Stay Informed: Remain current on emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisionโ€‘making and continuous improvement of our platform.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proven track record of building and leading highโ€‘performing engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly Azure Cloud.
  • Inโ€‘depth knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
  • Experience with C#, Function Apps/Microservices, and Service Bus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
