Associate Computer Scientist (ACDP): Build War-Winning Software on a Fast-Track Career Path!

Under the direct mentorship of a Senior Computer Scientist, you will develop the skills to design, code, and deploy the Department of the Air Force's newest war-winning capabilities. This high-velocity developmental program is designed to rapidly build your technical mastery, offering a direct path to a target grade of NH-03.
What you will accomplish:
As a developmental specialist in our Execution Branch, you will combine academic theory with leading-edge Agile practices to deliver critical capabilities. You will:
- Fast-Track Your Technical Mastery: Complete a formal Training and Development Plan, progressing through software engineering assignments that become increasingly complex and impactful as your skills advance.
- Master Agile Software Development: Integrate into our customer-focused Execution Branch, learning and applying modern, leading-edge Agile methodologies to rapidly develop critical military software.
- Learn from Elite Mentors: Work side-by-side with a Senior Computer Scientist, receiving invaluable formal, informal, and hands-on, on-the-job training in a collaborative, high-stakes defense environment.
- Deliver War-Winning Capabilities: Directly contribute to the design, coding, testing, and deployment of software solutions that support our nation's newest and most critical defense programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
- Designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
- Drug testing designated position
-Obtain and maintain Cyberspace certification
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Professional knowledge of computer science, policies, theories, principles and concepts to apply to scientific methods and techniques to solve assigned problems.
2. Professional knowledge of theoretical foundations of computer science, including digital computer systems architecture and systems software organization.
3. Professional knowledge of computer science and related disciplines to design, develop and adapt scientific
methods and techniques to recommend solutions for computer problems.
4. Ability to analyze, interpret and apply computer science procedures in a variety of situations and recommend effective solutions to senior scientists.
