Job description

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an Intellectual Property Patent Agent with IP focused background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science to join its Charlotte, NC office.
The ideal candidate should possess, a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in areas such as network architecture, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and cybersecurity. A graduate degree in one of these areas is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate excellent academic credentials, robust interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. While registration with the Patent Bar is preferred, eligibility to sit for the Patent Bar examination is mandatory.
Key Skills and Experience:
• Excellent scientific/technical ability and drafting skills
• Excellent application drafting and prosecution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills-must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external Firm contacts
