Job description

The Solutions Developer uses their knowledge of information technology and collaborates with IT co-workers to build and maintain application and data integrations between enterprise systems. This role will participate in design specifications and will be required to code, test, debug and deploy solutions using the Microsoft Azure platform. As part of the Enterprise Integration Services team, the Solution Developer will help build and maintain an Internal API platform that is the foundation of the Cirrus Connected Ecosystem.


  • Maintain and update existing documentation where available, author new documentation as required
  • Build proficiency in cloud computing principles and technology using the Microsoft Azure platform
  • Design, develop, and maintain application features across front-end and backend systems 
  • Build and support reliable services, APIs, and workflow-driven processing for operational use cases 
  • Create data visualization and reporting capabilities to support analysis and decision-making
  • Develop secure internal tools and administrative capabilities for users and support teams
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release quality practices
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners
  • Develop and deploy code using security best practices
  • Work with business analysts and product managers to understand functional requirements
  • Assist in the documentation of technical designs and processes
  • Research issues discovered through reported incidents and develop solutions to resolve and prevent recurrence
  • Conduct code review sessions with other developers and include suggesting improvements or alternate strategies
  • Develop and update design and functional documentation
  • Contribute to the estimation of work for the team by defining task breakdown, project duration and concurrent effort
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions, code reviews, requirements definition, and documentation
  • Train and mentor other team members in your area of expertise
  • Act as escalated support resource for help desk and end users as required
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance 

Focus areas:

  • FDS: Prioritize and organize tasks, use code repositories to track changes, expertise in python programming, use of relational databases (MSSQL or Postgres), build multi-page web applications (HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flask, SQLAlchemy). Strong skills in React, TypeScript, or Node.js, GO, and REST/API development.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 to 7 year experience writing code with languages such as Java, .Net, Python, PowerShell.  Experience in database technology such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, no-SQL, MongoDB required.
  • Experience with async workflows, CI/CD, automated testing, and release processes 
  • Experience with Cloud Computing such as Azure Services, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure DevOps, Azure DB will be a plus. Experience with data visualizations on the web, Oauth login flows with Azure Entra ID, Plotly Dash a plus.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and changing priorities with minimal transition time
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile/DevOps processes a plus.  

Preferred 

  • Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, or Azure Entra ID (OAuth)
  • Plotly or similar data visualization tools
  • Aviation, ARINC 429 data, telemetry, IoT, or high-reliability operational environments
  • NLP/AI workflow integration, observability, or internal tooling in regulated settings
