  • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA
  • This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring at least two days per week in the office. Based on project demandsโ€”particularly during testing and go-live phasesโ€”there may be a need for increased on-site participation.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ย Champion new capabilities to be developed as well as any enhancements to existing capabilities in alignment with meeting Kent Corporationโ€™s strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison to the IT development and support areas of Kent Corporation IT ensuring business needs are correctly translated and communicated during all phases of an IT solutionโ€™s life cycle.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in Kent Corporationโ€™s core business processes
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance through information technology and/or process reengineering
  • Assimilate complex business models, processes, and scenarios into clear concise, IT business requirements for the development and support processes
  • Help assess the business impact/risk of individual initiatives on the enterprise
  • Perform the liaison role on individual project teams between the business function and Global Information Technology Services
  • Participate in team reviews of all IT initiatives to ensure accuracy, completeness, and validity of project documentation
  • Act as the first line of contact and communications for all IT related requests within their designated business core processes
  • Manage the change request process for all incoming work requests within their designated business area
  • Perform research on new and existing technologies to determine how their use will impact the business going forward
  • Lead and coordinate the work for business focused sub-teams as part of large and complex IT initiatives as a functional lead
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have either Bachelorโ€™s degree or significant progress toward a degree
    • Masterโ€™s degree in, or significant progress towards this degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field is preferred
    • Equivalent combination of education and Business Architecture IT skills and experience considered
    • Minimum 3 years experience in an IT Business Architecture or related role with the proven ability to work the associated best practices processes, and a proven record of success on initiatives across enterprise level business processes
    • Must possess a broad range of business process experience with the ability to be immediately be productive on any given initiative across the enterprise with little technical direction
    • Required knowledge of IT enterprise level business applications including data warehousing and analytical reporting, methods of ordering/payment/billing, manufacturing and inventory systems, financial systems, sales support systems, etc.
    • Required knowledge of IT Business Architecture and Project Management frameworks as well as Application Development methodologies, and IT Operations and Service Management processes
    • Knowledge of general IT design and development methodologies, processes, and technology such as system life cycle, system testing, relational databases, programming constructs, etc.
    • Thorough understanding of Kent Corporationโ€™s Strategic Vision, our business processes, and those of our customerโ€™s is desired
    • Previous experience with business rule collection methodologies and process mapping
