PC Support - Intern
Department: IT (NH)
Employment Type: Internship
Location: Charlestown, NH
Reporting To: Anthony Paturzo
Description
Whelen Engineering is seeking a PC Support Intern to work in the IT department
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install PCs, printers, software, and networks; upgrade existing systems as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems.
  • Deploy new systems and enhancements to existing systems, software, and operating systems.
  • Writing/updating process documentation.
  • Other duties and projects as required by the company.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma required, a two-year technical degree in computer science or related field, or related field experience, desirable.
  • PC hardware, including client workstations (monitor, CPU, keyboard, mouse, etc.).
  • PC software, including Microsoft Office products, and current versions of MS Windows.
  • Strong and systematic troubleshooting skills (Software, hardware, network).
  • Server/network applications (Active Directory, etc.).
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complicated technical issues.
  • Basic understanding of network connectivity to hardware (cables, ports, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills (face-to-face, verbal, listening, phone, email).
  • Strong attention to detail.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
