Integration QA Co-Op
Electronic Board Systems (EBS) - Integration Quality Assurance Team
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Integration QA Co-Op to join our Electronic Board Systems (EBS) Integration Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced software professionals to develop automated regression tests, validate software releases, and support quality assurance activities that help ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
This internship provides hands-on experience in software quality assurance, Agile development practices, and test automation while offering mentorship and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an Agile software development team to support testing and quality assurance efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated regression tests to improve software quality and release readiness.
  • Validate software releases through testing, verification, and defect identification activities.
  • Assist with creating, executing, and documenting test cases and test results.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects while working with development teams to support resolution efforts.
  • Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for issue tracking, documentation, and team collaboration.
  • Participate in software release and integration testing activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for QA processes, testing methodologies, and automation frameworks.
  • Communicate testing results, findings, and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Gain hands-on experience working with enterprise software systems in a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in:
    • Computer Science
    • Computer Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Or a related technical field
  • Sophomore level or above pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in software quality assurance, testing, and software development.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts.

  • Basic programming or scripting experience (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience or familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

The hourly pay range for this position 18 - 50 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
