The primary purpose of this position is to develop, modify, secure, and automate software, analytical methodologies, and processes; and advance computing technologies using state-of-the-art industry best practicesQualifications:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: This is an interdisciplinary position, which means that the duties and responsibilities of the position relate to the Computer Engineer (0854), Computer Scientist (1550), and Data Scientist (1560) fields. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade DR-01 (GS-11), or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience utilizing professional engineering and/or scientific experience designing, developing, securing, and/or maintaining software applications, components, and/or architectures; AND developing or modifying existing methods or processes related to security, automation, architecture, administration, troubleshooting, system recovery, planning, theories, and/or solutions.

We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Data Scientist and/or Full-Stack Developer to join an energetic and highly motivated agile team. Highly analytical professional who finds purpose in solving the world's most complex data challenges and understands how to bridge the gap between complex data and actionable intelligence for the warfighter.
-Proficiency in Python or other high-level programming languages (e.g., R, Java, C#), IDE (Visual Studio), Cloud Technologies (AWS), CI/CD Pipelines, Containerization, Kubernetes, GitLab, and DevSecOps best practices to engineer quantitative solutions for complex, mission-critical challenges.
-Ability to translate real world problems into mathematical equations, using decision variables, objective functions, and constraints to analyze system behaviors.
-Ability to use ArcGIS Pro to generate visualizations and run spatial modeling scenarios.
-Ability to integrate Geospatial Information Science disciplines into quantitative analytic products.
-Ability to design, test, and deploy Artificial Intelligence capabilities such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and LLMs. Experienced in training, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models to build prompt-driven APIs that automate repetitive tasks.
-Analyze and resolve routine to moderately difficult problems within assigned area, using established Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and processes to further orient the incumbent in the application of IT principles, methods, techniques, security, automation, unit testing, architecture, administration, troubleshooting, system recovery, planning, and creative IT solutions
