MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
The following education and experience will be accepted:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in applications, systems or ERP support experience. OR;

  • Associate degree from an accredited college in Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field plus seven (7) years of experience in applications, systems or ERP support experience.

Experience with SQL, ETL or analytics tools required. PRISM or BIRT experience preferred. Experience in a municipal, county or state setting preferred. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Three (3) years of experience developing Workday integrations and reports required.
  • Two (2) years of proven expertise in Workday architecture and integrations.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Workday EIBs and Workday Studio development.
  • Two (2) years of proven expertise in data analysis and Workday reporting techniques required.
  • Two (2) years proven experience troubleshooting complex application environments required.

EMERGENCY DECLARATION STATUS
Code 2: Non-essential employees will not be required to work during a declared emergency but may be required to work during an undeclared emergency or in the aftermath of an event associated with a declared emergency. On an incident-by-incident basis, the employee's Department Head will make the determination when the employee will be required to work.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Under limited supervision, performs specialized technical work supporting the configuration, integration, reporting, and maintenance of the City's Workday enterprise system. Designs and supports integrations, develops reports and analytics, resolves complex system issues, and collaborates with functional departments to ensure reliable enterprise operations. Reports to the Applications Program Manager or designee.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Supports Workday applications and integrates data sources. Researches and analyzes business operations, designs, builds, tests, deploys, and maintains Workday integrations. Prepares instructions to guide users.
Supports secure data exchange between Workday and internal/external systems.
Monitors integration performance and resolves failures.
Cross-functional module understanding of Workday platform.
Develops and maintains Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.
Supports enterprise data analysis and compliance reporting.
Utilizes advanced analytics tools such as Prism Analytics when applicable.
Troubleshoots complex Workday technical issues, determines cause of issues and applies corrective steps.
Troubleshoots and supports Workday feature adoption post go-live.
Manages Workday releases: assess impacts, perform regression testing, coordinate with departments, deploy new features.
Maintains Workday environment strategy (sandbox refreshes, migration planning, version updates).
Supports security configuration and data integrity.
Maintains technical documentation and procedures.
Works with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and IT staff to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Provides guidance to departments on Workday capabilities and best practices.
Supports training development and documentation.
Assists with change management during new rollouts or enhancements.
Assists with testing, upgrades, and system enhancements.
May be required to work weekends and holidays. May be required to respond to after hour calls.

Health Insurance: Health care plan options include HDHP, OAPIN and OAP through Cigna.
Dental Insurance: Dental coverage is offered in three plans that include DHMO & PPO High/Low plans.
Vision Insurance: Vision coverage includes an annual eye exam, frames and lenses or contact lenses in lieu of eyeglasses.
Life Insurance: The City of Palm Bay provides each employee with life insurance in the amount of one time their annual base salary at no cost. Additional coverage is available at the employee's cost up to the Guaranteed Issue amount of $250,000.
Dependent/Spouse Life Insurance: The City of Palm Bay provides each employee with dependent/spouse life insurance in the amount of $5,000 per dependent at no cost. Additional coverage is available at the employee's cost.
Short Term Disability: Coverage pays 66 2/3% of employee's annual base salary during a short-term disability period not to exceed 26 weeks.
Long Term Disability: Coverage pays 66 2/3% of employee's salary at time of disability after a 180 consecutive day waiting period.
Defined Contribution Retirement Plan: City contributes a base of 3%. Employees may contribute up to 6% and the City will match the employees contribution.
Holidays: 11 holidays and 1 birthday holiday and 1 floating holiday.
Paid Leave: Accrue 96 hours of vacation and sick leave per year. Accrued vacation hours increase after 10 years of service. Administrative leave for exempt employees - 48 hours per year.
