Title: IT Project Manager (Level 2) 
Duration: 12 Months
Location: McAllen, TX

Only W2 candidates are eligible for this position. Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered.

Position is remote, but MUST be in the Texas region for occasional travel to site.
 
90% of the working schedule is 8  AM -5 PM CST. Might have to take emergency meetings in PM, if needed.

Job Description:

The IT Project Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing IT projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and organizational skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success and align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation. Lead project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations. Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints. Track project expenses and provide regular financial reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies and procedures. Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and other relevant records. Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT project management or a related role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects.
  • Looking for candidate that has lead multiple project simultaneously in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.

Skills:

  • Strong project leadership and project team management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, GitHub). MES systems and associating system that feed into MES.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a global role.

Working Conditions:
