Job Title: NETWORK ENGINEER
Location: Tallahassee, FL 32303 (5 Days Onsite)

Primary Job Duties and Tasks
• Collaborate with teams to plan, forecast, and identify resource requirements for network systems, including wireless networks, of moderate complexity.
• Participate in the development and design of network architecture and engineering solutions.
• Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling protocols into complete network configurations.
• Evaluate, deploy, and maintain network systems, including Palo Alto, Cisco, and VOIP solutions.
• Implement cloud networking configurations and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Monitor protocol compatibility, tune systems for optimal performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Develop and document technical standards, best practices, and interface applications for network operations.
• Prepare and maintain schematics and documentation for network configurations and system changes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and technical standards.
• Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
• Provide support for network outages, including troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues.
• Monitor network performance metrics and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
• Perform system tuning to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and applications into the network.
• Manage and maintain cloud networking environments, ensuring secure and efficient access to cloud services.

• Utilize in-depth knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco, and cloud networking tools to deliver robust solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and certifications to maintain technical proficiency.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, MBA or related field preferred
• Knowledge to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
• Knowledge of Cisco LAN and Routing equipment; Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2013 and 2018 and client software used to support a LAN/WAN environment.
• Knowledge of Mainframe Emulation Tools; Knowledge of PC based software; Strong knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN), DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL, VPN and routing protocols; Strong network troubleshooting skills.
• Strong knowledge in developing upgrade and implementation plans and working with project team members and management to implement changes.
• Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors and customers, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow established priorities and procedures.
• Ability to analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced, high velocity, environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Ability to drive effective meetings: workshops, design, and problem-solving sessions.
