Preference is to be within 1 hour of either office
What You'll Contribute
Your duties in this role at Sallie Mae will be primarily in Salesforce Marketing Cloud as our Multi-Channel Subject Matter Expert. You will work with Stakeholders to develop successful and effective marketing campaigns based on business requirements and design solutions that fit the business requirements. You will assist in managing our Marketing Cloud customer communications platform with a team of individuals. We are looking to improve and grow our Marketing Cloud platform usage with the goal of building better longer-term relationships with our customers through enhanced personalized communications to assist customers with all their educational funding needs.
What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand marketing objectives and develop strategies to achieve them using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Create engaging content for email marketing, social media, and other digital channels within Marketing Cloud.
  • Design, build, and manage marketing automation workflows, customer journeys, and multi-channel campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain data integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems using Data Sync, Data Cloud, or other ETL tools.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as AMPscript and SQL for customization and personalization of marketing communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and analyze data to optimize targeting, segmentation, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to marketing teams for campaign execution, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and IT to ensure alignment and integration of marketing initiatives.

What You Have
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Marketing, Business, or related field.
Primary requirement for this role includes demonstrable knowledge and experience with multi-channel marketing campaigns. Email, SMS and Push notification implementation experience required.

  • Proven experience (X years) working as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer or similar role.
  • Strong content creation skills with experience in developing engaging marketing content across various digital channels.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation principles and best practices, with hands-on experience in building and managing workflows and customer journeys.
  • Experience in developing and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement data integrations between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other systems using Data Sync, Data Cloud, or other ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with Financial Service Cloud is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as AMPscript and SQL for customization and personalization of marketing communications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Data Cloud experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with developing on other cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
