Job description

The Information Technology Technician II is part of the information technology team that performs end user support activities. At this level of function, technicians provide help desk support for end users and provide technical support installing and configuring computer hardware and software programs. Technicians II perform routine to moderately complex troubleshooting for hardware and software systems and may serve all levels of staff. This position is eligible for occasional telework.Qualifications:One to three years' experience providing end user support and assisting with computer problem resolution. Demonstrated skill in performing routine hardware maintenance. Ability to implement, operate and document information technology systems considering both hardware / software issues. Knowledge of computer processes and capabilities. Ability to perform both hardware and software maintenance and trouble shooting. Ability to communicate technical information effectively (orally and in writing) to end users in a manner that they can understand. Must be proficient at writing effective instructions for users and fellow staff. Must have exceptional customer service skills. Must have the desire to learn new technology and innovate. Must be team player.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three years of experience in the field of technology, working in the federal judiciary
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Mobile Device Management (MDM), Ivanti Neurons, Qualys
  • Experience with audio/video and video conferencing systems (MS Teams, Crestron, etc.)
  • Scripting and automation (ex: PowerShell, PowerAutomate, batch shell scripts)
Education:Bachelor's degree, or two-year degree in Computer Science or related field, from an accredited college, university or technical school.Employment Type: OTHER
