Job Description
Join T. Baker Smith's Environmental Team for the opportunity to work alongside professional scientists, biologists, and engineers. A desire to conduct field work across the Gulf Coast, technical day-to-day project support, provide critical input to team members, and assisting the team in helping our clients develop solutions that both enhance the communities and benefit their projects.
Your Opportunity:
  • Assist in the development and coordination of environmental projects.
  • Conduct fieldwork for wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, due diligence, site studies, and other environmental field activities.
  • Support air compliance permits and monitoring
  • Prepare the deliverables for projects as part of an integrated team.
  • Gather and prepare data to assist in proposal development.
  • Participate in professional development and training.
  • Gain exposure to client relations by attending client meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Actively enrolled students in their junior or senior level classes pursuing a degree in biology, environmental science, geology, forestry, wildlife, fisheries, botany, environmental engineering, or similar field.
  • Capability to work in the field on various terrain.
  • Ability to operate computer, using technical software, which includes computer, aided drafting and other applications, spreadsheets, and other business software.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
