Marketing Intern
For over 110 years, Gutchess Lumber has been a leading global producer of premium northern hardwoods used in high-end applications. We are currently seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience and the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
Position Overview
The Marketing Intern will support day-to-day marketing activities, contribute to brand initiatives, and assist in executing digital and social media campaigns. This is an opportunity to gain real-world experience across multiple facets of marketing in a growing, industrial B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, including digital content, email campaigns, and social media posts
  • Support execution of marketing campaigns aligned with company goals and brand messaging
  • Maintain and update marketing systems and tools (experience with HubSpot is a plus)
  • Help manage and grow social media channels to increase engagement and brand awareness
  • Contribute to content planning by supporting the development of a monthly social media calendar
  • Conduct market and customer research to support marketing strategies
  • Assist with identifying and coordinating partnerships or influencer opportunities

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Interest in digital marketing, content creation, and brand development
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot) and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) is a plus

  • Willingness to travel up to 25-50% as needed
  • Openness to learning about manufacturing processes, including exposure to mill operations
