Job Title: Planning Intern
Location: Anderson, SC (First Quality Tissue SE)
Mentor: Director of Planning & Inventory Control
Job Purpose:
Our Planning Internship is broad based in scope and may cover the areas of Demand/Deployment Planning, Logistics/Transportation and Customer Service.
We have one goal: getting you concrete experience. These are full-time, paid internship positions where you will work on real projects with real results.
Potential Projects:
  • Raw material optimization analysis - Evaluate positioning of raw material storage to ensure the most efficient means of getting the product to the point of use while effectively managing costs. Recommend a repeatable process for future evaluations. Safety stock analysis is included.
  • Slow Moving/Obsolete Inventory Analysis - Evaluate slow moving and obsolete inventory and recommend an effective tracking tool that creates ongoing visibility to best address these items in a timely manner to more effectively use warehouse space.

We also offer additional opportunities from social events and facility tours, to lunch and learns' with company executives and other interns that allow you to network, and gain a broader understanding of First Quality and its functions. At the conclusion of the summer, all interns will present their achievements to leaders at their location.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree) in related field of study
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • 0-3 years of experience, including academic projects
  • Highly motivated, strong team player, with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Open to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
