POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Clinic Manager and Site Supervisor. Provides direct behavioral health care counseling and consultation services to Communicare consumers.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health related field and is currently enrolled and participating in a University sponsored academic internship/practicum training program in social work, psychology, counseling or other mental health related field.
SKILL SETS: Adequate communication skills, process verbal and written instructions, dependable, interact effectively with the public and staff, adaptability-able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, strong sense of commitment.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS: Visual acuity necessary for updating files and completing documents. Requires frequent stooping, kneeling and crouching to file records. Hearing and talking is necessary to answer phone and talk with employees and other individuals. Work is light with walking, standing and sitting. Manual dexterity is required to perform work processing and other clerical duties.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
1. Providing of therapy services (individual, family, group)
2. accurate/timely charting and documentation
3. collaboration/consultation in treatment team meetings regarding client care
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Adheres to Communicare, Inc. policies and procedures.
2. Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.
