Job Summary
At Battelle Cyber, we solve the toughest problems in the world. We take a cross-discipline approach to develop vertically integrated cyber solutions leveraging deep expertise across microelectronics, computer science, and electrical engineering.
Battelle is seeking an experienced professional for the AS&T Program Manager (PM) position within our Advanced Microsystems Solutions Business supporting RF solutions in Columbus, OH. The PM will drive our cyber proposal efforts, support various strategic initiatives within the cyber business line, and participate in strategic planning to grow into larger markets within microelectronics, advanced analytics, and AI/ML.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage proposal development, ensuring strategic alignment with the division, business line and unit objectives as well as compliance and quality.
  • Leverage understanding of RF solutions across hardware, software, systems, R&D, and manufacturing to meet customer and corporate requirements and strategic initiatives
  • Organize and facilitate proposal workshops, gate revies, and color team reviews.
  • Collect and curate old proposals and other relevant materials from Technical PMs to build a comprehensive repository of source material for future use.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene.
  • Provide updates on current proposal efforts on a reoccurring basis across business line.
  • Own the proposal process for the Advanced Microsystems Solutions Business, develop new proposal templates, documents, and training as the process evolves
  • Develop and refresh cyber marketing materials, including videos, pamphlets, graphics, and posters for use internally and externally.
  • Serve as the focal point for generative AI in the proposal process and find new, novel ways to integrate AI initiatives into the Cyber proposals.
  • Collaborate across internal organizations with multi-disciplined engineering teams to develop winning proposals
  • Interface with team leads and senior government personnel
  • Understand customer needs, identify and build critical relationships, and prospect for new and unpublished opportunities.
  • Support the National Security business unit and Cyber business line planning processes

Key Qualifications
You know how to motivate staff and teammates, are driven, and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves. You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-discipline, collaborative environment. You are strategic, adaptable, and flexible. You meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study with (8-10) years overall experience with considerations for advanced degrees.
  • (5-7) years of project/program management experience with 3+ years on government projects
  • Proven winning experience with proposal management and leading proposals within the cyber domain
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to executive level management, teaming partners, and customers
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferred Microsoft Dynamics) and proposal tools, including AI for proposals.
  • Willingness to travel to regional office sites, conferences, and partner locations across the United States
  • US Citizenship with a Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible preferred.

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, Physical Sciences, Business, Analytics or equivalent
  • Experience supporting government laboratories
  • Shipley Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience within a large PMO
