Job description

A day in the life:

As a Cryptologic Computer Scientist you will support critical missions while being faced with hard cryptologic computer science problems requiring you to design, develop, deliver, and operate scientific solutions. Daily tasks may involve analyzing forensic and network data, attack attribution, protection of critical networks, active systems warnings and indicators, active penetration into target systems, knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, or other cryptologic computer science mission support.          

What you bring to the table:
  • Level 1
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Level 2
    • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience 
    • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and three (3) years of relevant experience 
    • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Level 3
    • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and eight (8) years of relevant experience
    • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and six (6) years of relevant experience
    • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and four (4) years of relevant experience
  • Level 4
    • Bachelors in Computer Science or a related discipline and 11 years of relevant experience
    • Masters in Computer Science or a related discipline and nine (9) years of relevant experience
    • Doctorate in Computer Science or a related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Python, Spark, and comfortability working with large scale data.  
  • Strong network and protocol analysis background. 
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

Salary Range:   
  • Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation.  Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself. 
  • Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the  projected pay range for these positions are:
    • Level 1:  $95,000 - $155,000
    • Level 2:  $115,000 - $175,000
    • Level 3:  $165,000 - $215,000
    • Level 4:  $180,000 - $230,000
