The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in Python software development, data architecture, database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Vector, and Object databases), and Large Language Models (LLMs). This position requires a balance of analytical thinking, software engineering, and customer engagement within a secure government environment.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
  • Serve as a technical advisor to engineers, scientists, and project managers on complex software and analytical challenges.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business and technical requirements into software solutions.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable database architectures using SQL, NoSQL, Vector, and Object database technologies.
  • Develop, integrate, optimize, and maintain Large Language Model (LLM) solutions within secure enterprise environments.
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and AI-driven workflows using vector databases and modern AI frameworks.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain custom data visualization and analytical dashboards that provide actionable operational insights.
  • Develop efficient, maintainable Python applications and automation scripts for data processing, workflow automation, and system integration.
  • Participate in software architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Plan, develop, and execute unit, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Apply principles of computer science, mathematics, statistics, operations research, and engineering to analyze complex operational problems and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets; evaluate alternative approaches; and present findings through technical reports and presentations.
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation supporting software development, testing, deployment, and system sustainment.
  • Support system maintenance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties, as required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
