RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Robotics Controls Technician in Sparks, NV for a contract (15+ weeks) with extension/conversion potential. The schedule is 100% onsite.
Summary:
Kickstart your career in robotics and automation! We are seeking a hands-on Robotics Controls Technician to support commissioning, startup, and maintenance of advanced automation systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for entry level candidates or early-career professionals looking to gain experience with PLCs, robotics, AMRs, conveyors, and industrial controls.
Responsibilities:
* Commission and support automation equipment and control systems
* Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, motors, sensors, and electrical systems
* Support robotics, conveyors, AMRs, and material handling equipment
* Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
* Assist with system integration and startup activities
* Perform basic industrial networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP, Profinet)
* Help maintain system performance and production uptime
REQUIREMENTS:
* Entry level candidate or up to 3 years of relevant experience
* Background in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field
* Basic PLC knowledge (Siemens preferred)
* Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read electrical schematics
* Hands-on technical aptitude and willingness to work on the production floor
Preferred Skills:

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
