Description
Markon is seeking a Cryptologic Computer Scientist 3 to support cyber mission analytics in a data-driven operational environment for the Fort Meade Customer. This role blends computer science, large-scale data analytics, and cyber threat analysis to identify, assess, and investigate network-based threats.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze large-scale data sets to identify patterns, anomalies, and indicators of cyber threats.
  • Develop and maintain analytic workflows using Python and Apache Spark.
  • Perform network and protocol analysis to support cryptologic and cyber threat investigations.
  • Leverage and interpret data from customer-provided cryptologic and cyber toolsets.
  • Conduct discovery-driven analysis to uncover emerging threats, techniques, and adversary behaviors.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and operators to translate analytic findings into actionable insights.
  • Document analytic methodologies, findings, and recommendations.

Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with Active Polygraph with this Customer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline plus 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Required experience with Python and Apache Spark.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large-scale data sets.
  • Strong background in network and protocol analysis.
  • Familiarity with customer cryptologic and cyber toolsets.
  • Inquisitive, analytical mindset with a focus on discovery and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and analytic audiences.

Salary Range
USD $175,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
