Job description

K+S Services, a SunSource Company, the industry leader in manufacturing equipment repair is seeking a Servo Motor Repair Technician for their Kokomo, IN facility. This position entails several essential responsibilities. Must be experienced with the disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing of AC/DC and servo motors. Additional experience with feedback devices and motor drives preferred. This position will require the candidate to possess strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting abilities, familiar with the operation of test equipment used in the inspection and repair process.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, evaluation, final assembly and final testing of repair parts.
  • Prepare failure analysis report for each component assembly; prepare test report once final testing is complete.
  • Assist in researching parts and suppliers.
  • Assist in identifying and maintaining spare parts inventory to meet the customer's needs. Ensure all repaired items are inventoried and stored properly.
  • All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as required.

Required Education and Experience:
  • 3 years work experience is preferred
  • Read and follow assembly drawings
  • Detail oriented
  • Familiarity of industrial control languages is a plus
  • Effective communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • No lifting restrictions

On the job training will be provided as required. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
