This is a full time, 10 month position. This position is eligible for benefits.
Purpose
To train and assist in the integration of educational technology by setting up, maintaining, instructing, troubleshooting, and repairing building technology equipment and software for staff, students, and administrators. Responsible for notifying SETS of major outages with network and internet related services, such as SIS [Student Information System-PowerSchool], assessments, and other mission critical technology components. Troubleshoot access and configuration problems with hardware, software, and networks. Repair and report problems to the SETS staff for additional help if necessary. Install and configure software, hardware, and network tools which facilitate the instructional and operational use of the technology equipment. Maintain user access and security of the school's network and e-mail system. Perform preventive maintenance and maintain an accurate technology inventory. Will work with the staff and students and provide training to school staff regarding the use of software, hardware, and network services.
Qualifications
Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, using phone, email, text messaging, software (presentation, publication, etc.), and other technologies. Possess the ability and desire to learn the technical aspects of the job and attend training to improve performance. Ability and desire to pursue Comp TIA certifications in A+. Able to work with students and staff on hardware, software, and network operations. Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle to drive from building to building in the corporation when needed. The ability to move from place to place is required frequently, such as walking and standing for sustained periods of time. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds of force frequently to move objects/computer equipment.
