Job description

Job Summary:

**Please Note: This is a long-term contract opportunity**

As a Computer Repair Technician within the K-12 area, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues on various Chromebooks. This role utilizes core skills in hand tools, equipment repair, analysis, and troubleshooting while maintaining quality and production standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Accurately review customer work orders and carefully assess user-reported computer issues to identify and resolve problems
  • Test and evaluate customer device needs to determine appropriate repairs
  • Perform electronic device repairs, including hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot customer hardware or software issues while ensuring proper procedures are followed
  • Set up, repair, or replace computer hardware and associated devices as needed
  • Follow all QC standards, ensuring each device is reviewed per customer request and meets required quality checks
  • Remain flexible with internal movement across K-12 teams to support training on multiple device types and stay current with OEM requirements
  • Meet established production goals while consistently upholding QC standards

What We Expect of You:

  • Experience as a computer technician or in a similar IT role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a production-focused environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, bend, lift, walk and carry products in any combination for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a warehouse environment which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, noise form conveyors and forklifts.

Pay range: $17/HR - $23/HR depending on experience and skill set.
