CMT Technical Services is seeking a Repair Technician to support the calibration, maintenance, and repair of nuclear density gauges and related testing equipment used in construction materials testing. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment meets operational, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting technicians and project teams with reliable testing equipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable troubleshooting specialized equipment in a technical environment.


What you'll be doing:
  • Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on nuclear density gauges and related testing equipment

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, inspect for malfunctions, and repair or replace defective components

  • Complete service work orders and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner

  • Read and interpret technical manuals and calibration procedures

  • Maintain accurate process documentation and calibration records

  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

  • Support equipment inventory management and tracking

  • Work independently or as part of a team to ensure equipment reliability for field operations

  • Occasionally travel to perform equipment service or support field teams as needed


What you have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum 2 years of related work experience in mechanical repair, commercial appliance repair, specialized equipment repair, calibration, or metrology industries

  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and equipment documentation

  • Familiarity with electronic components and repair techniques

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
