Note: This position is for CERTIFIED Heavy Equipment Technicians ONLY.
Certified Heavy Equipment Technician
We are currently looking to fill positions for Certified Heavy Equipment Technicians at our busy, modern, heavy duty truck repair facility in Calgary.
About Us:
Fleet Works is a repair facility specializing in fleet vehicles, commercial vehicles and specialized equipment. We offer mechanical services, frame and alignment repairs, auto body, other repair and installation services to our business customers in the Southern Alberta area.
Duties Include:
  • Completion of repair assignments following company guidelines and procedures to meet our customer requirements.
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all truck and trailer systems.
  • Be organized and responsible for the proper completion of repairs as needed.
  • Use our computer system for time clock, repair orders, inspections, and accessing repair information.
  • Working with apprentices and other technicians.
  • Make a conscious effort to complete work according to the timelines set out which may include the need to work overtime and/or shifts.
  • Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
  • This position requires a certificate as a heavy equipment technician.
  • Prior experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles.
Position Characteristics and Workplace Factors:
  • General physical skills carrying; lifting – 50 lbs., squatting, kneeling, pushing, standing, sitting, walking, reaching and pulling extensively
