Job Summary:

Senior Project Manager should have a passion for technology in financial services, strong strategic command, an engaging executive presence, exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, expertise in relationship-building, and the ability to manage large complex projects with energy and excitement.

A Senior Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, crossfunctional technology initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage risks and dependencies, and drive strategic outcomes. The position requires strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid), excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while aligning technology projects with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. Master's Degree or MBA is a plus

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic project leadership and ensure alignment across multiple concurrent projects within a matrixed, highly complex, and regulated environment.

  • Develop and implement strategic technical project plans that align with organizational objectives and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Oversee the execution of complex technology projects by managing project resources, budgets, and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks.

  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities and incorporating best practices.

  • Proactively lead risk mitigation efforts by resolving issues through structured problem-solving, collaboration, and appropriate escalation.

  • Clearly communicate project status, risks, and impacts to stakeholders, tailoring messaging to suit different audiences.

  • Design, develop, and manage milestone plans in a dynamic environment, adjusting to evolving project requirements.

  • Ensure project initiatives are delivered on time and within budget, while supporting organizational processes in a dynamic environment.

  • Partner cross-functionally with business and partner groups to provide strategic and tactical thought leadership to effectively deliver against project commitments.

  • Work with cross-functional teams and influence others to work toward common goals, regardless of resource and time constraints.

  • Report on project status, risks, issues, and key decisions to stakeholders across the organization; escalate critical concerns as needed.

  • Track project-related financials, including software, hardware, and resource allocations.

  • Ensure capital investments related to project delivery are managed efficiently and aligned with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, information Technology, Computer Engineering, Finance or related.

  • 12+ years of project management experience leading cross functional programs

  • 10+ years of experience working in the financial services industry

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification preferred.

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project efforts.

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management in a highly regulated environment, with the ability to quickly establish structure and manage work in a dynamic, complex environment.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to collaboration by supporting team development and knowledge sharing

  • Excellent communication and partnership skills are essential for engaging with stakeholders at all levels across the organization, as well as external partners, to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

  • Ability to understand, communicate, and manage technical details and dependencies of projects.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Other:

  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $166K - $200K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
