We are seeking a mid-career Project Manager to lead and coordinate technology-driven projects across cross-functional teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical and business acumen, capable of managing complex initiatives and delivering results aligned with organizational goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Define project scope by translating business and technical requirements into actionable plans.
- Develop project charters, schedules, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish realistic timelines and milestones to track progress.
- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, QA, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers.
- Provide regular updates to Executive Leaders and project stakeholders through reports and meetings.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively to prevent delays or scope creep.
- Resolve issues efficiently to maintain project momentum.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards in collaboration with QA teams.
- Oversee system and user acceptance testing phases.
- Align project goals with business strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Manage project budgets and resource allocations.
- Stay current with project management tools and methodologies.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Business Acumen- Strong understanding of software development cycles, architecture, and enterprise platforms.
- Ability to bridge technical and business needs effectively.
- Strong understanding of Change Management processes
- Experience with Process Mapping and Value Stream Mapping a plus
Certifications & Tools- Bachelorโs or masterโs degree in computer science, information systems or related field; project management and/or general business management, or equivalent related IT experience.
- Seven or more years of project management experience preferred
- Experience in financial services preferred
- PMP and Agile/Scrum preferred.
- Proficiency in JIRA, burn down charts, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Soft Skills- Strategic thinking and decision-making under uncertainty.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Recognized leadership and reliability in cross-functional environments.
Additional Information:
This is a hybrid position, based in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office, three days a week, with two days remote.
