Job Summary

Grande Cheese is hiring a Maintenance Instrumentation Specialist to support our Cheese and Whey operations at the Juda facility. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert, providing support to Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance Associates on Control, Information and Electrical systems. You'll also play a key role in delivering hands-on support, training, and mentorship —driving operational excellence across the entire Enterprise.

Hours & Shift:  12-Hour Alternating 2-2-3 Shifts, 4pm-4am

What you need to be considered for the role:  

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in an Electrical or other related technical field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related Maintenance experience required.
  • Advanced experience and comprehensive knowledge of:
    • PLC programming
    • HMI programming AC Drive Fundamentals (configuration, programming, troubleshooting, Servo Drives)
    • Instrumentation Knowledge (calibration & configuration, troubleshooting, PID control loop tuning)
    • Industrial Wiring Knowledge (conduits, 480v systems, distribution, MCC, MCP, Ethernet networks, Arc Flash, control panels)
    • Industrial Computer Knowledge (Ethernet, network switches)
    • Industrial Network Knowledge (Data highway, Ethernet, Controlnet, Devicenet, serial communication)
    • Computer Programming Knowledge (Microsoft VBA, Basic)
    • Industrial Machine Knowledge (Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Packaging)
    • Computer Programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Rockwell, AutoCad)
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Advanced math and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced electrical concepts (demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, machines, etc.).
  • Intermediate mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.).
  • Advanced pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC.
