Mechanical Engineering Co-Op


To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Student for our Co-op located in our Orangeburg, SC site.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and other cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Assist Engineering Team with time studies, reviewing documentation, drawings and CAD
  • Monitor Engineering DOE (Design Of Experiment) projects
  • Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
  • Attend team meetings and support project work as needed

Student qualities we're seeking for this Co-op assignment:

  • Junior/Senior student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major
  • CAD tools (Solidworks) experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma helpful
  • Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Previous internship experience a plus!

Co-op Program Requirements:

  • Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the semester
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
