Job Description
Position: Junior NC Programmer - Lebanon / Mason, OH
Job Description
Support the NC Programming team in developing and maintaining CNC programs for machining operations. This role focuses on building foundational skills in 3- to 5-axis programming, tooling concepts, and manufacturing standards, with hands-on training and mentorship from senior programmers and team leads.
Key duties
  • May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as needed.
  • Assist in creating and editing CNC programs using CATIA V5 for milling operations.
  • Support the conversion of engineering drawings and models into CNC-ready programs.
  • Learn to interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, and basic GD&T requirements.
  • Help develop and maintain simple tooling and fixture models under guidance.
  • Participate in program prove-outs and shop floor support activities.
  • Follow established programming standards, processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with updating and organizing program data, tool libraries, and setup documentation.
  • Collaborate with programmers, machinists, and engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and basic process optimization projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing, CNC machining, or programming (internship or school experience acceptable).
  • Exposure to CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5 preferred, but not required).
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining principles and G-code fundamentals.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
  • Willingness to learn GD&T and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established processes.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or equivalent).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
