As a National Security Solutions - Space Systems (Graduate) Intern, you will:
  • Identify specific problems in the context of emerging network systems
  • Develop an appropriate system model and explore the network interconnection problem through the focused lens of quality of service (QoS)
  • Create a simulation environment capable of modeling networks of networks
  • Devise performance metrics and methods to evaluate the metrics
  • Devise and implement alternative networking approaches for comparison

Selected interns for this paid opportunity will be provided with the opportunity to mentor with experienced professionals, gain experience and establish a name for themselves in this high demand career field.
Required Skillset:
  • Graduate level student (MS / PhD)
  • Electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science degree program
  • At least one graduate level course in Computer Networking or Wireless Communications
  • Proficiency in one of C/C++, Python, or Java

Scheduled Weekly Hours: Average 40 hours per week, 10 weeks in duration during the period of Summer 2026
Requirement:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must pass a Security Pre-Screen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Letter of recommendation from graduate committee chair or graduate advisor
