Internship Overview

Are you interested in working with refugees, immigrants, and English language learners? This internship offers hands-on experience supporting our Education Department while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Responsibilities

As an Education Department Intern, you will:

  • Assist with student registration and language assessments by working directly with clients.
  • Support the intake process by scanning, filing, organizing, and securely shredding documents according to retention guidelines.
  • Help create a welcoming learning environment by developing and organizing educational signage for the Education Department.
  • Assist with classroom technology by preparing iPads, setting up projectors, and researching or purchasing needed technology adapters and supplies.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Education Department as needed.

Qualifications

Current college or university student.

  • Interest in education, social services, nonprofit work, refugee and immigrant services, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Basic computer and technology skills.
