Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to:
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Prepare working drawings, primarily Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) and Builidng Information Modeling (BIM) tools and techniques. Interpret and draft engineering sketches and translate them into CAD and BIM models.
  • Prepare high quality facility, architectural, and engineering drawings and models from established layouts and initial rough sketches using drafting principles, industry graphic standards, and organizational drawing practices.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to determine the accurate scaled presentation of scope elements during the development of architectural and engineering drawings and BIM models.
  • Set up and maintain CAD and BIM files. Understand the CAD and BIM system features and commands.
  • Ensure conformance to office and industry drafting standards. Convert and import drawing files into CAD and BIM formats, and text and schedules into drawings and models.
  • Estimate project drafting and modeling time to ensure scope, schedule, budget and expectations correspond with team expectations.
  • Provide input to designers, engineers, and project managers during initial and subsequent design phases. Perform field investigation as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related experience
  • Active TS/SCI is required

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
